Beginning Hand Applique

Beginning Applique Class Teacher Anelie Belden In this class we will be using a variety of Applique Tech- niques to make this wall hanging. Our focus will be finished edges and stitched by hand. We will explore a variety of ways to finish edges using freezer paper and starch, interfaced lining and needle turn applique. Learn the applique stitch so it will be invisible. We will also learn to make a perfect center circle and stitching a blanket stitch by hand. Finished size 20 1/2” by 20 1/2”

Other Supplies needed

1. Thread to blend with your fabrics.
2. Hand sewing needled
3. Small scissors to cut thread
4. Fabric scissors
5. Fabric marking tool-
6. Basic sewing supplies such as seam ripper, straight pins pin cushion
7. Paper and pencil I will supply interfacing, freezer paper and Pattern
