Level: All - Choose a project that matches your skill level from the book Thoroughly Modern Dresden Time: 
Wed. 8:30 – 11:30am, 2:00 – 5:00 pm   and Thurs. 8:30 –11:30 am, 2:00 – 5:00 pm
Class Fee:   $140.00 / $200.00       (two-day class 6 hours per day)
Pattern Fee:  None, but must purchase book     Thoroughly Modern Dresden prior to class. Kit Fee:  None Machine:   Required Class Description:  The Thoroughly Modern Dresden class will teach techniques for making all of the various design options offered in the book, Thoroughly Modern Dresden, including various Border construction and Finishing techniques as well as Quilting the Dresden.  Purchase the book Thoroughly Modern Dresden by Anelie Belden and choose from any of the projects which are in the book.  Skill level is noted in the book so choose according to your capabilities.  Book includes patterns for beginner to advanced quilters!  Class Supply List:  BSK.  Select the project you want to make from the book and purchase the fabric required for that project.  Thread for piecing and decorative applique if desired.  1/4” foot is helpful in establishing an accurate 1/4” seam.  Open toe foot if doing machine applique.  Fabric basting glue such as Roxanne’s glue.  Fabric marking tool such as blue marker or chalk-o-liner that will show up on your fabric.  Fast-2-Cut Dresden Ruler (I will have these available for purchase in class) or template plastic.  Freezer paper.  Finger pressing tools.  Spray starch, small plastic container, and paint brush.  Fabric, paper, and plastic scissors.  Mechanical pencil.  
Pre-Class Preparation:   Students need to have their fabric cut out prior to class so we can begin sewing in class.  Refer to the cutting chart in the book for the project you have chosen and cut the background squares in the size your project requires.  The strips for the blades can be cut out but we will sub-cut the blades in class as I will demonstrate cutting accurately with the Fast-2-Cut Dresden Ruler or template plastic and help you understand which blade design will work best for your skill level and quilt design.  The center circles will be cut in class.  Students can cut borders if they desire.
